We’re offering a Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course with First Aid/CPR September 24th-26th.
Details:
- This course is for new certifications. Recertifications must attend the full course.
- Certification is active for 2 years.

- Class starts 5 pm Friday, 9 am Saturday and Sunday.
- Please bring a swim suit, towel and lunch (or you may leave the facility for lunch).
Requirements:
Must be 15 years of age by the last day of class.
Successfully pass a swim test on Friday:
i) Complete a swim-tread-swim sequence without stopping to rest: Jump into water and submerge, resurface then swim 4 laps (up and back) using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. (Swimming on the back or side is not permitted. Swim goggles are allowed.)
ii) Tread water for two minutes using only the legs. Swim 2 laps (up and back) using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both.
iii) Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds:
Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. (The face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are not allowed).
Surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7-10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, holding the object.
