JERRY WEST BASKETBALL LEAGUE FOR KIDS IN 6TH THROUGH 8TH GRADE
Competitive, but fun, Jerry West basketball offers players the opportunity to develop fundamental skills and sportsmanship, and improve their game play.
KEY DATES FOR 6th-8th GRADE DIVISION:
- Register November 1st through 20th.
- Practices start week of December 4th.
- Saturday games at the Elkins Middle School January and February, followed by tournament.
STEPS TO REGISTER A PLAYER:
- Review the Youth Basketball Parent Handbook
- Sign-up online or in person at the YMCA before November 20th.
- Choose an evaluation date and time during registration.

Attend scheduled evaluation to be assigned to a team.
STEPS TO VOLUNTEER AS A COACH:
1. Complete the Volunteer Coach Application and submit it to Nic Casey, the league coordinator, at the Y front desk or email it to [email protected]
2. Once your application is approved, complete the required child safety training.
3. Attend coaches meeting.
