Visiting the Y

Guest Passes

Whether you’re visiting Elkins for a few days or exploring what the Y has to offer, we welcome you to come in and experience our facilities.

Day Passes

Visitors may use the facility for the day by purchasing a day pass:

  • Individual (16+): $10/day
  • Family: $15/day (2 adults + up to 4 children age 15 & under)

All visitors must:

  • Present a valid photo ID (driver’s license, passport, student ID)
  • Sign a waiver (minors need waiver signed by legal guardian)
  • Children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times

Guest Visits with a Member

Members may bring guests to the Y. Each guest receives three free visits per year. After that, regular day pass rates apply.

All guests must:

  • Be accompanied by an adult member (18+)
  • Present a valid photo ID (driver’s license, passport, student ID)
  • Sign a waiver (minors need waiver signed by legal guardian)
  • Children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times

Sexual Offender Policy

The mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Important to this effort is our ability to provide a safe and threat-free environment. For this reason, the YMCA monitors the sexual offender registry. Persons on the list will not be eligible for YMCA membership, program participation, visitors passes, or volunteer and employment opportunities with the YMCA.

Nationwide Membership Access

Elkins YMCA members have access to participating YMCA facilities across the United States through the Y-USA Nationwide Membership Program. This is perfect for business travel, vacations, and visiting friends and family.

To use, present your Y membership card and photo ID and sign a universal waiver at the visiting location

Note: Insurance-paid memberships (e.g., SilverSneakers, Silver & Fit) may not qualify. Extended stays (more than 28 days) require membership transfer.

Extended Visits to Other YMCAs

YMCA members who live in a region away from their home Y for a period more than 28 days will need to transfer their membership and pay membership dues to the Y they are visiting. Ask your home Y about placing your membership on hold during this time. The Elkins Y will waive its joiner fee for visiting members who are transferring their membership from another branch.
