Things To Do At The Y

Child Care Programs

Learn + Play + Grow

The Elkins Y offers a range of affordable childcare programs to support families while you work or work out. These programs are provided through our Legg Family Youth Center, located on Davis Ave, ensuring that your child receives high-quality care in a safe and nurturing environment. We offer an After School Program and Summer Day Camp childcare services—designed to help your child learn, play, and grow.

After School Program

We are hiring a part-time program coordinator for our after-school program for the upcoming school year. If you have experience in a classroom or childcare setting and are passionate about creating a safe, engaging space for kids after school, we’d love to hear from you! See more information on the position job description. Interested in applying? E-mail your resume to info@elkinsymca.com.

Once we have staffing in place we will open registration for the program. Our After School Program is available for students in 1st through 4th grade. In this program, your child will enjoy a variety of activities—including sports, games, crafts, swimming, snacks, and homework support—in a fun and supportive environment.

The program runs from 3:30 to 6:00 pm and covers early dismissals and certain scheduled holiday breaks.

Transportation is available for students from Randolph County Schools (Third Ward and Jennings Randolph elementary schools), while parents of students from other schools may provide drop-off services.
