COVID-19 UPDATE:

During this time, facility access will be limited to members only. Day, guest and nationwide membership passess will not be available during this phase.

The member services desk will not process new memberships at the front desk. All new memberships and renewals will be processed online or over the phone. 

Every member must complete a new waiver agreement before using the facility. Members who have e-mails on file with us will be e-mailed a copy of the waiver, which can be completed online. Waivers can be downloaded here and brought to the Y at your first visit.

Membership in the Elkins Y gives you free access to our classes (some exceptions apply), the use of our fitness equipment, locker rooms and discounts on programs. We offer memberships for individuals, couples, families and corporations.

Each member is provided with a Y ID card. When you enter the Y, swipe your ID card at the front desk to unlock the doors and enter.

INDIVIDUAL/FAMILY MEMBERSHIP TYPES

  • Youth (13 and under)
  • Teen (14-18)
  • Adult (19 and over)
  • Senior Adult (60 and over)
  • Family (Household with two parents and dependents under the age of 25)
  • Single Parent (Household with one parent and his/her dependents under the age of 25)
  • Couple
  • Senior Husband/Wife
  • College Student (Full-time student under 25 with school ID and proof of current enrollment)

MONTHLY BANK OR CREDIT CARD DRAFTS

Monthly membership dues are automatically withdrawn from your bank or credit card once per month on either the 1st or 15th.

All memberships paid with drafts are continuous. If you wish to cancel your membership, you must give us a 30 day notice by completing a termination form available at the front desk.

Memberhips may be placed on hold for periods of time not exceeding one year. Visit the front desk to complete paperwork to place your membership on hold.

SHORT TERM MEMBERSHIPS

3 and 6-month membership rates are available.

ANNUAL Membership/PAYMENT IN FULL

Fees may be paid in full each year. You will be invoiced annually for your dues.

COMMUNITY SPONSORED MEMBERSHIP

Each year the YMCA offers sponsored memberships, as funding is available, to youth, seniors and adults with disabilities who meet certain income requirements. Each year over $30,000 in sponsored memberships are provided to more than 100 individuals. The program is sponsored through the support of the United Way and through the generous donations of individuals and businesses.

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

The YMCA’s corporate membership program is a great way for companies to encourage a healthy lifestyle among their employees. The economic effects in the workplace can include less turnover, lower healthcare costs, reduced absenteeism and increased morale.

Please contact Sid Gillispie, executive director, to establish a corporate membership program at your organization. Employees must provide proof of employment (e.g., a letter confirming their employment) at the time of registration.
